The Rotary Club Naples started the New Year with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Speaker Series. This amazing program was started under the guidance of Past President Wayne Dahlstrom and President Christopher Pritchard in the 2024-25 Rotary year.  The speakers during January 07 – 28, 2025, are Sheriff Kevin J. Rambosk, Undersheriff Jim Bloom, Chief Richard Hampton, and Corporal Mendoza with K9 Dony.

The team of Corporal Mendoza kicked off the New Year with the K9 Dogs training, and Dony put the training on full display. January 7th, Chief Hampton briefed the Rotarians about the operational side of the Sheriff’s Office.  Sheriff Rambosk’s presentation covered every aspect of Collier County from protection of the Citizens, ways to control street traffic, putting the bad guys behind bars, how the Sheriff’s Office is active in the schools with education and safety, and how his office works with the State and Federal Agencies with immigration issues.

Undersheriff Jim Bloom ended the presentations on January 28, 2025, with how the Collier County Sheriff’s Office plans for the future. Some of those ideas include newer unmarked cars, upgraded robots, the purchase of a helicopter, FBI training, and restoring SROs into each of the Collier Public Schools District.  The CCSO is superb, and the future looks even brighter.
